Buccleuch Arms wins Breakfast of the Year Award 2017

Celebrating once again, we’ve been awarded “Breakfast of the Year” at the prestigious Scottish Hotel Awards 2017.
The 14th annual Scottish Hotel Awards gala dinner took place at the Crowne Plaza Glasgow on 23 April, hosted by Carol Smilie. Over 400 people attended the much anticipated and prestigious event to celebrate the accomplishments of Scotland’s best hotels and hospitality professionals.
Awards judges were looking for a passionate commitment to making breakfast a stand-out experience, with the focus being on innovative dishes, re-invented classics, home-baking and thoughtful touches designed to make breakfast memorable.
Following receipt of the Award, owner Billy Hamilton said:
“This is a new category win for us and we are delighted. Many say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and we always ensure that, for our guests, it is also memorable for all the right reasons.
“The feedback from the judges praised our friendly, local staff team and, as ever, we are enormously grateful to them for their hard work and dedication.
“In addition, our menu was praised for its “sumptuous choice of fine breakfast dishes, all cooked to order, beautifully presented and made with locally sourced ingredients” and so we are extremely proud.
“We look forward to continuing to do what we do and to displaying our new trophy.
“As the judges said, “whether driving south or north, don’t drive past the Buccleuch Arms!”
